Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents hope you all have an exciting printing filled weekend ahead of you
So last week we undertook commercial and internal testing on some new resin ( PET & ABS). One of the processes required when you swap from one material to another is to use a purge material to remove the previous resin from the barrel of the extruder.
This cleaning process is both mechanical and chemical and works by almost curdling the leftover resin and mechanically scrubbing the barrel and screw. Once the purge turns white the new resin is introduced and it pushes out the purge, after a priming period you can start production knowing the barrel is clean and clear.
The above video is the start of the purging process.
Also as above we now have some PET & ABS samples, if you have an interest in trying some, please pop a note on your next order and we will get you sorted with a sample Free of Charge.
Nice finaly ABS, have been wating for you guys to get ABS up and running😊
